Our founder, patent attorney Dr. Domokos Asbóth, was born in 1954. In 1979 he received his M.Sc. in mechanical engineering at the Budapest Technical University. Starting in 1981, he acted as a registered patent attorney with the Hungarian Patent Office.
In 1982 he received a degree in English and German from the College of Foreign Trade. Dr. Asbóth received his legal degree from the Faculty of Law of ELTE University, and became a member of the Hungarian Bar Association in 1992. He began his professional career first at the Hungarian Broadcasting Corporation, and later as an in house counsel of the Danubia Patent Office.

During the socialist regime the legal profession was under strict state control, but after 1989 it became possible to establish independent law firms. Thus, our firm was founded in 1990; Dr. Domokos Asbóth was a member of our firm until his death in September 2005. Besides being an attorney-at-law, he was also a member of the curatorium of the Budapest Festival Orchestra Foundation, as well as president of the Budapest Festival Orchestra Society.
